Employer-Paid LTD

Employer-paid LTD provides you with income continuation in the event your illness or injury lasts beyond 180 days. This helps ensure you have a continued income if you are unable to work due to a covered sickness or injury. Skin Laundry pays for the full cost of this benefit.

 

Employees are required to apply for state disability benefits where applicable before submitting a LTD claim with MoO.

 

*3/12 Rule: This means that if you receive treatment, were diagnosed with, or consulted for a condition within 3 months prior to your insurance coverage effective date, that condition will be considered preexisting and may not be covered for the first 12 months of your policy.

Voluntary Short-Term Disability

Short-Term Disability (STD) is a type of disability insurance coverage that can help you remain financially stable should you become injured or ill and cannot work. This benefit is 100% voluntary, and paid for by the employee.

 

Employees enrolled in Voluntary STD are required to apply for state disability benefits where applicable before submitting a Voluntary STD claim with MoO.

 

*3/6 Rule: This means that if you receive treatment, were diagnosed with, or consulted for a condition within 3 months prior to your insurance coverage effective date, that condition will be considered preexisting and may not be covered for the first 6 months of your policy.
